Planning on throwing a Bowl Game party for you and your friends? You can make a felt flag pennant banner in your team colors to add some festiveness and fun! Use this easy DIY by Poppy & Blush as a backdrop for your table.
- Card stock
- Felt in two colors
- Glue/glue gun
- Hole puncher
- Chalk (if needed)
Step 1. With a ruler, measure the size you want your flags to be on the card stock and cut it out, creating a stencil (ours is 4”x 8”).
Step 2. Use your stencil as a guide to cut out your felt flags. If you’re leery about cutting freehand, using a piece of chalk to outline the stencil on the felt makes cutting a lot easier.
Step 3. Draw out the letters you need on a contrasting color of felt (again, you can draw out with chalk first to make cutting easier).
Step 4. Use a small hole puncher and punch out holes at the top two corners of your flags for hanging.
Step 5. Glue your letters onto your flags, making sure to leave a blank flag for spacing in between words.
Step 6. Grab your twine and string through the holes in your flag.
