Halloween means sweet treats, pumpkin carving, and other messy festivities, so we put together this easy DIY hand-cleaning station to make kids’ sticky fingers more fun to clean and sanitize!
Kids can even help decorate the monster by adding stickers, horns, arms… whatever they want!
- Kleenex box
- Green spray paint
- White construction paper
- Huggies Fragrance-Free Wet Wipes
- Black construction paper
- Hot glue gun
- Googly eyes
Step 1: Use a rectangular Kleenex box and a set of wet wipes that will fit inside. Tip: We chose Huggies fragrance-free wet wipes to avoid too many competing scents at a party.
Step 2: Open one side of the box, remove tissues, and remove the plastic in the center hole.
Step 3: Spray paint box in a well-ventilated area, and allow paint to dry for at least one hour.
Step 4: Cut “teeth” into two strips of white construction paper that measure a little longer than the mouth of your box.
Step 5: Hot-glue the strips of teeth inside the mouth of your box.
Step 6: Tear off the plastic top of your wet wipes, insert into box, and hot-glue box shut.
Step 7 (optional): Add some black construction paper to cover your wet wipes bag to create a cleaner look.
Step 8: Affix googly eyes with a hot-glue gun, and your hand-cleaning monster is complete!
