Give kids a fun way to clean up after Easter egg decorating (or before Easter chocolate eating!) with our DIY wet wipes bunny. It’s easy to make and a cute addition to your Easter table, too!
Time: About a half-hour (not including drying time for paint)
Level of difficulty: Easy
- Tissue box
- Wet wipes
- Hot-glue gun
- White cardstock
- Pink cardstock
- White spray paint
- Circle cutter (optional)
- Googly eyes
- Easter bunny ears printable
Step 1: Pull one end of tissue box open. Take tissue out of the box and set aside.
Step 2: Cut plastic cover out of the opening of the tissue box.
Step 3: Spray-paint box white (outside or in a well-ventilated area). Let dry for a half-hour to an hour.
Step 4: Once the paint is dry, insert wipes into the box. (Note: You’ll want to do this right before your party. Wipes may dry out and/or soak the box if you put them in the box more than an hour or two in advance.)
Step 5: Close up the open end of box with a hot-glue gun.
Step 6: On your white cardstock, draw two 1 1/2-inch circles freehand or using a circle cutter, then cut them out. Or simply use a circle hole punch.
Step 7: Repeat with pink cardstock.
Step 8: Cut off a corner of pink cardstock to make the bunny nose.
Step 9: Print out bunny ears and cut them out, turning the paper as you cut for smooth rounded edges.
Step 10: Hot-glue the white circles to the middle top of the opening in the box, then hot-glue the pink bunny nose to the center.
Step 11: Hot-glue the googly eyes above the nose, overlapping the edge of the box.
Step 12: Glue the pink circles to the top corners of the opening in the box to create bunny cheeks.
Step 13: Make about a half-inch crease at the bottom of each bunny ear, then apply hot glue to the fold and affix them to the top side of the box.
