- 2 cups of sugar
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups of fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 lemon, sliced for garnish
In a small saucepot, combine the sugar and water over low heat to create a simple syrup. Stir to combine until sugar melts and is dissolved. Chill completely. In a large pitcher, combine the simple syrup and lemon juice. Chill and serve with fresh lemon slices.
Lavender Honey Lemonade: Replace one cup of sugar with lavender or wildflower honey. When making the simple syrup, include 2 tablespoons of lavender. After chilling, strain the lavender out of the simple syrup using a fine mesh strainer.
