Ginger beer and muddled cilantro lend this mango ginger mocktail a bold flavor punch. Mix up a pitcher for a baby shower (it feels special enough that the mom-to-be won’t miss the alcohol) or any summer soiree. You can always set out vodka or tequila for guests who want to spike theirs — or leave out the cilantro if you or the guest of honor don’t care for it.
- 24 large sprigs cilantro (plus 8 sprigs for garnish, if desired)
- 3 ounces lime juice (about 3 limes, plus 1 lime for garnish, if desired)
- 6 ounces mango juice
- 12 ounces orange juice
- 24 ounces nonalcoholic ginger beer
Muddle the cilantro (stems and all) and lime juice in a pitcher (if you don’t have more than one pitcher, use a blender jar). If you don’t have a proper muddler, use the handle of a wooden spoon and apply a twisting motion.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour mixture through a sieve into the pitcher you plan to serve from, pressing on the cilantro with a wooden spoon to release all its flavor. Discard the muddled cilantro.
Serve over ice and garnish each drink with a sprig of cilantro and/or lime wheel, if desired.
