If you are struggling to pick a fun theme for your child’s next birthday, have I got the perfect party idea for you: throw a Tiger Party! Complete with a DIY treat bags, a tiger cake, and a balloon garland, this party is a total roar.
Vanessa Diaz here from Brite & Bubbly—I’m super excited to be partnering with Evite for their new Crafting the Party IGTV series! Evite is featuring fun DIYs every week and I’m thrilled to show you how I made these DIY Tiger Treat Bags for a Tiger Party. This is a fun and unique party idea for kids, and the treat bags are super easy and budget-friendly to create.
All you need to create the tiger-striped treat bags are some orange treat bags, black construction paper, scissors, and a hot glue gun or craft glue.
First, cut out your tiger stripes from the black construction paper using your scissors.
Next, glue the stripes onto the orange treat bags with your hot glue gun or craft glue. I prefer the hot glue gun because the glue dries almost instantly. With regular craft glue, you have to wait for the glue to dry before proceeding to the next step.
Once your tiger stripes are all glued on, cut off the excess black construction paper hanging off the side of the bag.
Repeat those steps for as many treat bags as you need for your Tiger Party—and that’s it! Treat bags for all!
Fill the goodie bags with some fun tiger-themed party favors or treats, then place them on your party table for your child’s friends to grab on the way out.
They go perfectly with a tiger striped cake…
And some orange cupcakes!
If you want to decorate your cupcakes, too, cut out some monstera palm leaves from green construction paper to place your cupcakes on.
Get some monstera palm leaf napkins and straws, and some green cups too, to complete your Tiger Party table decorations.
Last but not least, you can add a fun tiger balloon garland with just some glue dots, tiger stripes, and orange and green balloons. It might look complicated, but it’s honestly super easy to make. Just glue the balloons together with your glue dots, add some monstera palm leaves, and hang it on the wall with tape and string. Super simple, I know! Cut out fun green letters to spell your child’s name, or the phrase “Let’s Get Wild,” and your Tiger Party is complete.
That’s how you easily throw a fun Tiger Party with DIY Tiger Treat Bags! I hope you enjoy these fun treat bags just as much as I do!
