I was thrilled to style the “Break Out the Bubbly” theme for a preschool graduation party because, let’s face it, what preschooler doesn’t love bubbles? Since Evite offers two invitation options for this particular theme — bright pink and blue — I decided to incorporate colors from both of them to add vibrance and fun to the entire table.
Watch my party overview video below to get inspired to throw your own preschool graduation party.
Starting with the backdrop, I spelled out “BUBBLY“ with silver foil letters and included three giant 36″ clear balloons filled with helium to resemble bubbles. To add some color, I accentuated the strings with some small paper tassels, which I also used to make into a banner to adorn the front of the table. Additional decoration included little banners and signs in a variety of shades, along with food labels made to look like bubble containers.
The table included food, drinks and dessert for the preschoolers. Easy finger foods, including bubble turkey sandwiches (easily made with a circle cutter) and ham and cheese wraps tied with twine to resemble diplomas, were displayed on a tiered stand.
I made both regular and mini chocolate-covered Oreo cookies in a coordinating blue to represent bubbles and displayed them upright to add dimension. Vanilla French macarons in a matching blue complemented the opposite side of the table. Other treats included pudding push pops decorated to look like bubble containers, tubes filled with colorful gumballs and tied with ribbon to look like diplomas, and cupcakes topped with fun gelatin bubbles inspired by Cake Central’s — check out my how-to video.
The centerpiece showcased some small gumball dispensers accentuated with graduation caps, handmade out of colored cardstock and adorable tassels found in the jewelry section of the craft store. Finally, drinks were served in round plastic bubble jars, embellished with ribbon and fun oversized straws.
Favors included bubble wands and round plastic containers with additional gumball and bubble rings, all displayed in clear, round glass jars and tags thanking our guests for “POPPIN’ by!”
The kids had such a great time blowing bubbles and playing with the giant bubble balloons!
