Ghostly Gathering Invitation
First, start inviting guests to your Halloween party by sending the free coordinating Evite invitation below.
Ghostly Gathering Décor
Just because it’s Halloween doesn’t mean your party has to be scary. Keep it cute and stick with the classic Halloween colors by hanging a bright orange backdrop behind the food and drinks table, then add these Halloween printables as accents. We recommend printing the printables on poster or foam board (we enlarged them, which you can do at your local printer or office supply store) then taping them to your backdrop to secure. At one end of the table, place this printable welcome sign in a simple frame then arrange the favors on the opposite end (you can also enlarge the welcome sign to hang on a wall or in a doorway). Stage the food and drinks in the center, then place festive décor behind. Encourage your guests to come in costume (it is Halloween after all). Don’t know what to wear? For girls, try a witch, jack-o’-lantern or skeleton and for guys, try a ghost.
Tie the theme together by hanging this printable banner over your backdrop. Just download and cut out the banner on a piece of plain 8.5 x 11″ cardstock, then fold and tape the tabs on the back to a piece of plain black ribbon. Use a piece of tape to secure the ribbon to a wall or doorway.
Ghostly Gathering Food
A few bites are a must. Wrapped in bits of bacon, these RITZ Hot Dog Mummies make for a satisfying snack on par with your party. Don’t forget to download the coordinating printable recipe flag. Just print it on a piece of cardstock, then tape it to a toothpick. We’ve even included some blank recipe flags so you can label your other recipes while sticking with your theme!
Ghostly Gathering Drinks
Upgrade simple soda bottles by adding these festive Halloween-themed bottle labels to the front.
Make a statement by serving a signature drink, like these mini ghost milkshakes. To make your own, whip up a homemade vanilla milkshake by blending 2 cups vanilla ice cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 cup of whole milk until smooth. Then, add the meringue (recipe below) on top. For the finishing touch, add two black candy sprinkles for eyes.
To make the meringue, beat 4 egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Gradually sprinkle in 2 1/4 cups sugar while you continue to whip the egg whites. Once the mixture becomes shiny and stiff, stop mixing and scoop the mixture into a large pastry bag. Pipe the meringue mixture onto a greased and floured baking sheet, then bake at 200 degrees for 3 hours or until dry. Allow the meringue to cool, then place it on top of the milk glass.
Ghostly Gathering Activity
This photo booth is guaranteed to be guests’ favorite part of the evening. To make your own photo booth backdrop, hang a piece of plain black paper or a black sheet on an empty wall, then download these printable photo props for even more fun. After you’re finished snapping shots, post the photos to your Evite invitation for guests to see or send them home with photos as a party favor. Be sure to have guests share them on social media with #GhostessParty, too!
For photo props, all you need are scissors, 1/4″ wooden dowels (available at craft stores) and a hot glue gun. After downloading the free printable photo props, print them on cardstock, cut them out, then glue them onto the wooden dowels. Make sure the dowel is placed correctly on each prop. Set up a side table next to your photo booth to hold your props (we recommend putting your props in a black jar to match your color scheme).
Ghostly Gathering Party Favors
Halloween calls for all kinds of candy, so send guests home with SOUR PATCH KIDS in fun favor bags. Don’t forget to tie the printable favor bag tag around the top. Just download and cut out the printable on cardstock, then punch a hole in the top and thread a piece of ribbon through. For the final step, tie it around the top of the goody bag in a bow.
